British actress Lucy Gutteridge established her stage reputation with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She has been seen in films since 1978 and also has guest starred in television shows such as "Tales of the Unexpected". She has appeared in costume roles in a number of TV movies and miniseries and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt in "Little Gloria..Happy at Last". American audiences became familiar with Lucy Gutteridge through her participation in the spectacular Broadway and TV staging of the Royal Shakespeare Company's Nicholas Nickelby, in which she performed seven roles. Comedy fans best remember her for her deadpan portrayal of French resistant fighter Hillary Flammond in the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker spy spoof Top Secret (1984). Lucy Gutteridge lives on the Isle of Wight and is now retired from acting, much to her fans' dismay. This page will soon be updated with more pictures and filmography. |
